Important information about creating and using custom sender IDs in Ghana

Sender ID Requirements

  • Length: Maximum 11 characters for alphanumeric sender IDs
  • Characters: Letters (A-Z), numbers (0-9), spaces, and hyphens only
  • Format: Cannot start with a number
  • Registration: Custom sender IDs must be registered and approved by the NCA (National Communications Authority)
  • Processing Time: Approval typically takes 3-5 business days

  • Setup Fee: ₵300 one-time registration fee
  • NCA Approval: Fee includes regulatory approval process
  • No Recurring Charges: Pay once, use your sender ID indefinitely
